May 31, 2017, Hanover vs. Jamestown will go down as one of the greatest games in Hanover High School history. The Hanover High varsity baseball team won 2-1 in 13 innings to advance to the state tournament.  The game was scoreless until the third inning. The Hanover Hawks baseball team had a great weekend. On Friday night, the Hawks hosted Midlothian in the conference semi-finals. Hanover won 6-0.
