8 Hanover swimmers competed at the State Championships. The team took 8th place with Jefferson Forest taking 1st for the second year in a row.

The team was paced by senior Patrick Townsend who finished 3rd in the 100 butterfly and 6th in the 100 backstroke. He was also a member of the 200 freestyle relay team that place 4th and broke the school. Other members of the relay team include senior Marshall Brooks, sophomore Jack Hufner, and sophomore Luke Daley.

Luke Daley set a new school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46. 72. He placed 11th in the event. In the 100 backstroke Daley placed 9th finishing with a time of 52.62. This time qualified him for Junior Nationals.

The 400 freestyle relay of Ross Newton, Hufner, Townsend, and Daley finished 8th.
