Girls Varsity Basketball · Hanover Girls Basketball: Hawks Start Season with Two Wins

The Hanover Girls Varsity Basketball Team started their season last week with a victory over Dinwiddie High School, 65-21. Hanover was led by Jordan Davis(15 points, 6 steals) and Madison Miller (12 points, 5 assists).  On Saturday, Hanover defeated Steward, 45-42. The Hawks were down 10 points at the start of the 4th quarter. Hanover relied on their defense to get them back in the game, holding Steward to only two free throws in the final quarter. Jessica Russell and Jordan Davis each made key free throws in the last 30 seconds to seal the victory. Jordan Davis finished the game with 26 points and Emily Mott recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Hanover (2-0) will host John Marshall on Tuesday and will travel to county rival, Atlee on Friday night. Go Hawks!
