Tears were shed Tuesday night for seniors on both Hanover boy’s and girl’s volleyball teams. It was the final home match of the year and the ending of an extraordinary era for Hanover Volleyball. Over the last four years, these seniors were part of teams that won conference titles, and competed at multiple state tournaments. All twelve seniors, three on the girl’s team and nine on the boy’s team, were recognized for their input towards Hanover Volleyball during the intermission between the girl’s game and the boy’s game. The girl’s match started off the night and the team performed well with a quick, comfortable 3-0 win over fellow Class 4 opponent, the Dinwiddie Generals. Later in the night, the boy’s team took the court against the Dinwiddie Generals as well. They also collected a 3-0 win in a fast paced match where everyone was involved. Both the girl’s and boy’s teams will start their playoff runs next week in the Class 4 Regionals. Teams and times are still to be determined.
Congratulations to the Class of 2018 Volleyball Team:
