The Hanover Hawks Cheerleading Team capped off an unbelievable weekend. Both JV and Varsity Sideline Cheer Teams placed first in the UCA Invitational Cheer Competition and qualified for the UCA High School Game Day Nationals in Orlando, Florida. In the Competition Cheer section of the event, the Varsity Hawks Cheer Team placed second while the JV Hawks Cheer Team placed third. After capturing the Capital District Crown on Wednesday over county rivals Atlee, Lee-Davis and Patrick Henry, the Hawks made a quick turnaround and became one of the first teams ever in the Commonwealth of Virginia to qualify for Game Day Nationals. The Hawks Cheerleading Team hits the mat again on Thursday, October 19th at the King William Invitational and will also compete in the Class 4 Region B Championships at Caroline High School on Saturday, October 28th. Congratulations to Coach Baldwin and her team! Go Hawks!
