Feb. 3, Hanover High School: The Hanover basketball program had a very special senior night with a Pink-Out and a moving tribute to honor loved ones who fought and those who are fighting and living with cancer. The game featured strong defense from both teams as only 8 points were scored in the first period and 10 points were scored in the third. Hanover was able to get on track during the second period outscoring Lee-Davis 17-4. Sarah Wright led the Hawks in scoring with 16 points. Rachel Metzger contributed 7 points and Jordan Davis scored 11 points. Other highlights included, Keri Kane adding 6 rebounds and 2 steals, Elizabeth Ellen collecting 7 rebounds and 2 steals, and Emma Casey adding 5 rebounds. The team has an 11-8 record with two games remaining in the regular season. The Hawks travel to Armstrong on Feb. 7 and will play at home against Glen Allen on Feb. 9.
